Underground Friends
I found this wiggly fatty today while planting beets. I could feel my chickens eyeballing him, but I covered him up. Earthworms are the best! Not only do their tunnels aerate the soil and improve drainage but their castings are full of nutrients. I feel guilty whenever I fish with them!
What's your favorite helper in the garden?

Here's to being outdoors to garden, build, hike, and kayak. Then back inside to cook and bake with what we've grown! Heal inside by working outside!
