Welhome Home Sundays touchs my heart and enables me to settle in and reconnect after the weekend.
It's why I chose to create
The Mindful Journey — Returning Home to Yourself
And I ask,
What does it truly mean to come home to yourself?
Sit with that question for a moment.
Not just think about it with your mind, but feel it within your heart.
Because coming home to yourself is so much more than finding a quiet moment, taking a deep breath, or stepping away from the noise of the world.
Coming home to yourself is remembering who you are beneath the noise.
Remember,
Somewhere along our journey, many of us began to lose touch with ourselves.
We became who we needed to be to survive.
We learned to be strong when we wanted to fall apart.
We learned to smile when our hearts were hurting.
We learned to put the needs, expectations, and happiness of others before our own.
And sometimes, without even realizing it, we became strangers to our own hearts.
We stopped asking ourselves what we needed. We stopped listening to that quiet voice within us.
We became so busy living our lives that we forgot to truly experience them.
And then,
Something begins to stir within us.
A quiet knowing.
A longing for something we cannot quite explain.
A connection to Love?
A connection to The Divine?
Is it the connection to Spirit?
And,
When we learn to truly reconnect we finally understand what it means to Come Home
And what does it feel like when we finally begin to return home?
It feels like being able to exhale after holding our breath for far too long.
It feels like no longer having to prove our worth, explain our existence, or apologize for being who we are.
It feels like discovering that the love, peace, and acceptance we have spent so much of our lives searching for outside ourselves has been there waiting to be cultivated within us.
And that realization is where beautiful things begins to happen.
We become gentler with ourselves.
We begin to recognize when something no longer feels right within our hearts.
We stop confusing being needed with being loved.
We begin setting boundaries, not because we love others less, but because we are finally learning to love ourselves, too.
We learn that peace is not the absence of life's storms, but the growing ability to remain connected to ourselves as we move through them.
And perhaps one of the most beautiful changes of all is that we begin to TRUST ourselves again.
We learn to listen to our hearts without allowing fear, old wounds, or the ego mind to make every decision for us.
We begin to recognize the difference between who we were taught to be and who we are becoming
And as that relationship with ourselves deepens, our relationship with the world begins to change, too.
We love more consciously.
We respond rather than simply react.
We find gratitude in moments we once overlooked.
We begin to understand that we can be compassionate toward others without sacrificing ourselves.
This is why coming home to ourself is so important.
Because how can we truly know where we are going if we have lost connection with the one who is walking the journey?
How can we recognize alignment if we have forgotten what it feels like to be aligned within our own hearts?
How can we fully embrace who we are becoming if we have never given ourselves permission to simply be who we are?
And so, on this Welcome Home Sunday,
I invite you to give yourself that permission.
🌿 OneMindful Moment
Find a quiet place and gently place both hands over your heart.
Take three slow, intentional breaths.
Feel the warmth of your hands. Feel the gentle rise and fall of your chest.
And quietly say to yourself:
I am here.
I am listening.
I no longer need to abandon myself to belong.
I am worthy of the same love, patience, and compassion I so freely offer others.
I am finding my way home.
It's A Journey
A Mindful Journey Into Who We ARE
It is a relationship we nurture, a conscious choice we make, again and again.
And every time life pulls us away from our center, we can gently return.
Not to the person we used to be, but to the truth of who we are, as we continue becoming.
After all,
What would change in your life if you began treating your own heart as a place worthy of your love, your attention, and your care?
You don't have to share your answers.
Sometimes the most meaningful conversations are the ones we have quietly with ourselves.
