This is one of the biggest mistakes I see people make. Just because two coolants are the same colour does NOT mean they’re compatible. And just because they’re different colours does NOT mean they’re incompatible. Colour is just dye. The chemistry is what matters. 👇 Here’s the simple method I recommend… ✅ Option #1 (Safest) Buy the OEM coolant listed in your owner’s manual. The engineers designed your cooling system around it, so there’s no guessing involved. 💰 Don’t Want to Pay Dealer Prices? That’s totally fine. Buy an aftermarket coolant that specifically says it’s compatible with your vehicle or meets the required coolant specification. It might even be a completely different colour. 👉 Compatibility matters. Colour doesn’t. 🤔 Thinking About Switching Coolants? My question is… Why? 😂 Unless your manufacturer or dealership recommends switching because of a specific issue, there’s usually no reason to change coolant types. Don’t try to out-engineer the engineers. Stick with what your vehicle was designed to use. 💧 Premixed vs Concentrate For most people… ✅ Buy 50/50 premixed coolant. It’s ready to pour in. If you buy concentrate instead… Only mix it with distilled water. 🟠 Garage Logic Rule #2 Don’t choose coolant by colour. Choose it by compatibility. Think. Diagnose. Solve. 👇 Now I want to hear from you… What’s your vehicle? I’ll tell you what coolant I’d recommend and answer any coolant questions you have in the comments.
