apparently beets need 3 weeks to grow… we had been doing 2 weeks and only getting about 2-3 ounces out of a tray. Learned this on Urban Ag Academy’s Skool weekly calls on Sundays Q&A session. After I asked the question three growers said they average 7-8 ounces of beets per tray. Learning together on Skool has its advantages
We had a mold issue for the first time ever with our brass monkey mix. It was in multiple spots so I had to go as far as cutting out 1/2 the tray and refilling it with soil. For trouble shooting this can be due to trays that may have had some contamination on it or just over watering 😬 oops learning for next time
For garlic chive, nasturtium, and arugula use taller domes instead of using weight on the top of your trays during germination. Blue dome in this picture attatched.
