I'm loaded up to the brim with things I have to do. The list is long. But right now I need to focus on making dinner for my children. There's no time for me to separate myself from the family so I can meditate quietly.
I'm reminding myself that I can be embodied anytime I want. I don't need to be alone and separate from all responsibilities to get that done.
Focusing on my body and breath while cleaning the kitchen and preparing dinner.
No podcast. No audiobook. No ruminating. Just keep coming back to the breath and the body. And then repeat over and over and over.
This is something I'm working on this year. As a busy dad, this is often the only chance I'll get all day. But I tell you what, it works better than you expect.
