What’s in your dance bag? 👜👀
Take a peek inside your dance bag today. Not to judge — just to notice. Because sometimes, our outer space reflects our inner space. Does your bag feel like… 🌀 Cluttered energy - one shoe missing - old snacks/wrappers - no extra hair ties - everything thrown in last-minute vibe: “I hope I have what I need…” 😬 Or… 🧭 Prepared energy - essentials easy to find - backups “just in case” - calm, supportive, ready-to-go vibe: “I’ve got myself.” 😌 Here’s what a prepared bag really gives you: Less scrambling. Less stress. More confidence. When you know you have what you need, you can walk into class feeling focused and ready for anything. What I Keep in My Dance Bag 💁‍♀️ These are my personal go-to’s that always help me feel supported: - hair ties + bobby pins + hairspray - dance shocks (I love my Apolla shocks!) - water bottle - deodorant / body spray - lip balm - a mini first aid kit (Band-Aids, blister pads, etc.) - essential oils for a quick reset - Theraband + loop band for warm-ups - massage tools for recovery (I use Tspheres!) - an extra tee or cover-up 📓 And one of my personal faves: a journal. (Highly recommend Alignment In Dance Journals & Prompts) If I notice I’m getting the same correction over and over — or I start spiraling into negative thoughts — I’ll jot it down during a break so I can reflect later and learn from it instead of carrying it around in my head. ✨ 3-Step Dance Bag Reset (Try This This Week) 1️⃣ Empty it out Take everything out and toss the trash + old stuff you don’t need. 2️⃣ Restock your essentials Refill the small things that help you feel prepared. 3️⃣ Create one “calm pocket” Add one item that grounds you — a journal, mantra note, recovery tool — something that reminds you: I’m ready. Your dance bag doesn’t need to look exactly like mine — or the dancer next to you…But it does need to support who you’re becoming and be a source of comfort, not stress. 👇 Drop a “👜” if you’re doing a reset this week — what’s ONE thing you always keep with you?

Dealing With Thought Loops + Anxiety
Tonight I’m awake with my mind looping — stress, negative thoughts, anxiety all mixed together. I tried to soothe myself with all my usual tools but nothing was working- then I realized why. My body was anxious and I was trying to force myself to be calm when it just wasn’t ready. When we’re stuck in thought spirals or a state of anxiety trying to “fix” it or shut it down usually makes it stronger. When your body or mind is resisting calm the better move can be to notice what’s happening and let it move through you. A few things that help me when my thoughts won’t settle: • Name it “This is a stress spiral. I’m feeling anxious- but I’m safe.” • Slow the breath In for 4, out for 6. Just a few rounds can help. • Ground with touch One hand on your chest, one on your belly. Or cross your arms over your chest, place each hand on the opposite cheek, close your eyes, and focus on the feeling of the your palms gently touching your face • Listen to one thought finish Instead of fighting it, let one thought play out and notice when it ends. Noticing stress isn’t the same as feeding it. It helps us stop getting stuck in it. Sometimes we don’t need to rush to soothe it. Sometimes we just need to fully feel it for it to be released. If you ever feel this just know that you’re not doing anything wrong and you’re not alone- we all go through it at some point. Sharing in case it helps. 🤍

Merry Christmas To All! 🎄
Hope you’re all having an amazing holiday! I’m curious- if you could be gifted one new skill, what would it be? Mine would be better endurance- both mentally and physically. The ability to take on more before my soul asks for rest, especially now as a mom, would be life-changing. So— what’s yours??
