Not sure if this is in your realm of expertise Curtis but I'm curious about how dopamine signaling (including receptor sensitivity) may be connected to anxiety/OCD tendencies and reward-processing patterns. 🤔
Specifically:
- In individuals who may have lower dopamine receptor sensitivity or dysregulated dopamine signaling, what are the common root drivers (genetic vs environmental vs inflammatory, etc.)?
- How does this tie into anxiety-based or OCD-type patterns neurologically?
- From a functional perspective, what are the most effective ways to support this (nervous system, gut, inflammation, etc.)?
- Are there any supportive tools you've found helpful like such as targeted supplementation,
homeopathics, or peptides that help regulate these pathways without overstimulation?
I'm already doing a lot of work spiritually and mentally, so I'm curious what support looks like on the physiological side if needed.
