when i hear an emergency vehicle i have an immediate body reaction. like heart races a bit and my stomach flutters. it used to be way worse because i had such a fear of fire. Do you have an immediate body response, like before you even think, just from hearing sirens?

So this Easter, my little one went on the hunt for eggs… and came back absolutely DELIGHTED with this one. 🤣🤣 What she actually found was my avocado pit — which had been happily establishing itself in a pot, growing beautiful roots, minding its own business… until it became the world's most convincing Easter egg. 🥑 It's now been evicted from its pot and is back in a jar of water while I figure out what to do with it. Thanks for that, sweetheart. 😅 I mean, the logic was flawless. Round? Check. Hidden in a pot? Check. Looks like an egg? Apparently yes! ✅ Kids will humble you every single time. 😂 How's your day going? 💕

So I have had my partner's wallpapers on my phone for absolutely years, it was pretty cool being DragonballZ characters but I have used them for as long as I can remember since it automatically added them somehow. Anyway — I finally made my own.🍃 Feels small, but also not. There’s something grounding about seeing something that actually feels like you every time you pick your phone up. Unfortunately, 2 of the kittens failed to thrive. They were very small, struggled to latch, and even with kitten formula and round-the-clock support, they didn’t grow in those first crucial 48 hours. 💔 I threw everything I know at it. With my experience around kitten birth and care, I was watching closely, supporting feeds, keeping them warm, doing everything I possibly could… but sometimes, despite all of that, their little bodies just aren’t strong enough. It’s one of the hardest parts of this — knowing it’s not for lack of care, and still not being able to change the outcome. I spent every moment with them.🐾 Sadly, this is part of nature, and why animals have larger litters… but that doesn’t make it any easier to sit with. If I’m honest, I feel a bit lost. The past few months have been filled with so much loss, and this has just added another layer to it 😔 But alongside that… we have 3 strong, healthy kittens who are feeding well, content, and doing exactly what they should be doing. And right now, that’s where I’m gently trying to place my focus. 💕 Holding both at once — the grief of what’s been lost, and the care for what’s still here.
