For the past 3 months, I’ve basically been fluctuating within the same 1–2 pound range and honestly… it’s been frustrating.
I kept wondering why the scale wasn’t moving, especially after losing almost 100 pounds already.
But if I’m being completely honest, I had gotten complacent.
I stopped going to the gym as consistently.I stopped tracking my calories closely.I wasn’t prioritizing protein the way I was in the beginning.
And on top of that, I never recalculated my TDEE as my weight dropped. I was still eating the same calories I was eating when I was almost 100 pounds heavier.
That was a huge realization for me.
The closer you get to your goal, the more intentional you have to become. Your body changes, your needs change, and your strategy has to evolve too.
So I made some adjustments:
✔️ recalculated my calories
✔️ started tracking again
✔️ refocused on protein
✔️I will getting back consistent in the gym
And within days, the scale already dropped 2 pounds.
That was my reminder that sometimes a stall isn’t failure….it’s feedback.
I think because I wasn’t gaining weight, I convinced myself things were “fine.” But deep down, I knew I had taken my foot off the gas.
Now I’m re-orienting my focus because I’m not done yet. I’m really hoping this is the shift that helps me finally break into the 190s 👀✨
If you’ve hit a plateau lately, maybe this is your reminder too: Go back to the basics that helped you in the beginning 💜
