💎Welcome! Please Introduce Yourself :)💎
To kick things off, please comment below introducing yourself. Let us know... #1 - Who are you, where are you from and who do you work with? #2 - What do you want to get out of being in this community? #3 - For fun what do you like to do? #4 - Drop a photo of your office space or where you like to do work from. I'll go first... #1 - I'm Jean 👋 A professional pilot who has spent my life mastering the craft. I now work as a chief pilot for a large company in Canada, that operates business jets globally. I am a husband and father of 3, and my passion has been to pursue the Golden Rule, and serve those around me (including my beloved family) with all my skill and passion. #2 - In line with #1, my heart and passion is to give back and pursue the Golden Rule in every way possible. Here on Skool, it means giving back to this awesome community through what I've learned in my 20+ years of professional experience #3 - I'm a creative at heart. When not working you'll find me drafting a kid's story, pictures to go with it, a video for YouTube or perhaps hanging out with my famjam and our community! #4 - see below!

Some free (to you) career advice
Pilot career advice cost me a ton of earning potential to learn. Here's the education for free: Lesson 1: Stop chasing airlines; build relationships instead → My mentor once said, "Your network is your net worth." Cultivate connections with industry insiders. Doors open faster when someone recommends you. Lesson 2: Master the art of adaptability → I once switched from air ambulance to corporate. Embrace diverse flying experiences to become indispensable. Flexibility is your career's safety net. Lesson 3: Invest in continuous learning → I spent thousands of dollars on pursuing advanced education. It paid off tenfold. Stay ahead by constantly upgrading your skills. The sky isn't the limit; it's just the beginning. Lesson 4: Challenges are your best instructors → A failed check ride taught me resilience. Each setback is an opportunity to refine your craft. Embrace failure as a stepping stone. Lesson 5: Prioritize mental health as much as technical skills → Burnout can ground you. Regularly check in with yourself. A clear mind ensures a safe flight and a longer career. Lesson 6: Leverage technology like a second officer → I integrated applications early on. They streamline operations, save time and boost efficiency. Being tech-savvy is a non-negotiable asset. Lesson 7: Mentorship is a two-way street → I was mentored by a pilot who later became my colleague. Teaching others enhances your own understanding and builds lasting alliances. Lesson 8: Diversify your income streams → I started writing on the side. Multiple projects provide new insights on the world around you. Lesson 9: Be fiercely curious about the industry → I subscribed to aviation journals. Understanding industry trends keeps you relevant and prepared for future shifts. Lesson 10: Your passion is your compass → Flying isn't just a job; it's a calling. Let your passion guide your decisions, and you'll never feel lost in your career.
