I'll go first... #1 - I'm Jean 👋 A professional pilot who has spent my life mastering the craft. I now work as a chief pilot for a large company in Canada, that operates business jets globally. I am a husband and father of 3, and my passion has been to pursue the Golden Rule, and serve those around me (including my beloved family) with all my skill and passion. #2 - In line with #1, my heart and passion is to give back and pursue the Golden Rule in every way possible. 1% of pilots know how to answer this interview question
Who are you? This is probably the question that will most stump pilots in an interview. We know who are are as described by a job listing. But as a person? as a human? What if you weren't a pilot, how would you define yourself? I love this skit by Monty Python on silly job interviews.. yet it reminds me so much of where we've all been - on either side of the desk! Looking back at your interviews (either as manager or candidate) what were the questions that challenged you the most? Which questions did you feel truly helped you understand the potential relationship that was being explored? Which questions did you feel were hurtful or awkward?

One thing you wish you knew
Hey everyone! It's been a while, and I hope the fall season is treating everyone well. As we collectively navigate ever increasingly complex and demanding aircraft or operations, I was curious what are the things that made you go "I wish someone had told me this a long time ago"? For example, I wish someone had 1. Told me to care for my body even when I felt invincible at 20 years old 2. How my body posture can change everything in setting up my cockpit well 3. How important it is to care for myself also, and place healthy boundaries around myself and my loved ones What about you? was it something technical? personal? I'd love to hear it!

I was today old when I learned...
I think we all define a "professional" as someone who hungers to learn. I can honestly say I was "today old" when I learned there was such a thing as lens contamination on a PAPI ( and why just the day before I had experienced it coming in on a short field with what seemed to be blurred white lights) I also learned during recurrent that a VASI indicates displacement from your target touch down zone whereas a PAPI indicates angular displacement from the obstable clearance area.... 🤯
