Getting started with soil..

Hi everyone.

My soil does needs some work for sure, as I'm continuing on from what the previous tenants left in the beds.. mainly crappy bark potting mix.. I've dug through a few bags of compost, actually I regret turning the soil, as I've germinated all the weed seeds that were dormant. I'd like to get to no dig, but I presume that takes time.. for now I've planted tomato's, basil and sweet potato a few lettuces and there were three chilli plants already there! I've mulched around with pea straw, but I think I need to add some more nutrients to the soil.. maybe top dress around the plants with worm castings ? Gotta stake those tomatoes with bamboo tomorrow, and rejuvenate the worm farm.. poor worms, it's all just castings now.. I should have changed their bedding.. maybe time for them to go into the garden now..
