Weight, body image & the changes no one warned us about 💭⚖️
Let’s talk about the physical stuff that messes with your head more than you’d expect. With PCOS and Endo, I’ve had times where I barely recognised my body — sudden weight gain, intense bloating, fat that felt impossible to shift, and then the hair… not just shedding from my scalp, but growing in places like my nipples, chin, belly, and even my back. No one prepared me for what high androgens would actually feel like — emotionally or physically. It used to feel like no matter how “healthy” I was being, my body just wouldn’t cooperate. But over time, these things have genuinely helped: • Berberine — huge for cravings, blood sugar, stubborn belly fat • Inositol — supports hormone balance + helped reduce hair where I didn’t want it • Zinc — supports skin and reduces androgen-related hair growth • Strength training + walking — not for weight loss, but for metabolic and mental health • Cycle tracking + stress management — because cortisol drives fat storage too This journey has taught me it’s not about shrinking my body — it’s about understanding it, supporting it, and feeling safe in it again.
Training on your period
Hey ladies! I know training may be one of the last things you are thinking about. However, if you are training, here’s a document with abit of info about how you should train with your cycle! It may explain how you are feeling one week to the next! Hopefully this is helpful for someone! Mols Fitness x
