🚨 Viral Video Breakdown 📖
Why did this video do so well? Let's break it down.. 1. A strong visual and verbal hook: - "the value of these Pokemon cards decide what I get to eat..." - Gives the viewers a sense of curiosity and alludes to value at the end (aka. what I end up eating) 2. Cut out all fluff and immediately let the viewer know what to expect - Here's the 3 different options and goal I need to achieve - I am doing this because X (this video was deciding boy dinner since my partner left me alone for dinner) but the reasons change every video - After explanation, straight to the openings to start rewarding the viewer for watching ("Oh, let's see what he pulls now...") 3. Audio placement and video edits - Cutting the background music on important sections (close to revealing card) - Riser audio sound byte to add tension - Slow zooms (in or out) during tense moments or long talking points 4. Show what we achieved and immediately end video after eating (or giving value) - Show the value of the card in eBay (react to our goal; this is value) - Show me eating what I earned (react again; this is value. This is what people stayed for) - Immediately end the video (no asking for follows, no "come back next time", cut it) this leaves 0 opportunity for a dip on the Retention Graph What have I been doing now? I analyze and repeat this same video style and converted it into a series that has gotten me 1.6 million views over the past 30 days. Once you find what works, figure out WHY it works and repeat it over and over. You've created your own blueprint once you find a video that works so... why wouldn't you keep using it after?

📈 How to Analyze Your Videos
If you're not looking at your Analytics, you're not going to learn anything. Below are charts I've drawn out based on my own video performance and how I've come to understand each one. It is then up to you on how you rework the current idea or decide to scrap it completely. The first thing I ask my students to go through, is their analytics because I found a lot don't understand or have looked at it ever. So don't just look at the views, likes, and comments to determine a video's success. The graph is a super key point of information that the platform provides for you; use it!

📈 How to Analyze Your Videos
🛑 Stop Focusing On Going Viral.
Use my content as a case study: 2 videos. One with almost 60,000 views more than the other. The "viral" content was a trend I was following (back then, this is what I thought was what I should be doing). Sure it was cool to get views but I only got 69 followers from that. 69. (I know.) My other video focused on sharing my story, my insights with 60,000 views LESS than the other got me 1,749 followers! One video did that. Now imagine we figure out a consistent framework revolved around this method. Virality is not what will grow you an authentic following or brand. Start thinking about content that makes people feel something. Don't be afraid to show who YOU are online.
