Art is Witchcraft, and Witchcraft is Art
I am learning more and more about witchcraft and higher priestesses (yes, before Christianity there were female spiritual leaders: priestesses). And before patriarchy, there were women who knew how to create powerful change: witches.
They were burned because they KNEW how powerful they were, and that power needed to be erased.
And you know what those powerful witches did?
They created art. They wove into it what they wanted to call in, created art about the pain they wanted to release, and offered it to Mother Earth.
They processed their desires, limiting beliefs, and emotions through art - because art gives us direct access to our subconscious mind.
