Community Guidelines — How We Keep This Space Safe & Supportive
Welcome to The BridgeThis community works best when it feels like a good dinner table open conversation, curiosity, and respect all around. Here’s how we do that: 1. Listen to understand, not to reply.Everyone’s story deserves space. We come from different paths, that's our strength. 2. Share your wins and your wobbles.Growth isn’t linear, and vulnerability is welcome here. 3. No fixing without permission.Advice is great when it’s invited. Ask first, then share. 4. Keep it kind. No personal attacks. We’re here to build each other up, not prove each other wrong. 5. Confidentiality matters. What’s shared here stays here. Trust is the soil this community grows from. 6. Promote with purpose. If you have something to share (a project, idea, or event), make sure it aligns with the spirit of connection and contribution. 7. Engage with curiosity. Ask questions. Respond to others. Show up this only works if we do it together.

The challenge with narratives
Are narratives about yourself a positive? Some challenges I see with narratives is that they can be limiting, frustrating and at worst misleading. Some narrative examples - Good man - Productive employee - Smart student - Trustworthy person Narratives can be misleading when you think they are the right measurement but they have nothing to do with where life meets the road. I'm really trying to consider the impacts of what i do and don't do . Good intentions are not enough. We need to be curious about the impacts of our actions/ inactions in order to measure them well and improve ourselves. Are there any narratives about yourself that you have let go of or adjusted?

Are you feeling stuck?
A lot of us go through times when we just feel stuck. Sometime it can be the loss of a loved one. Other times it's setback with work. Our personal relationships can be trying. What can help? 3 things I suggest. Talk to someone trustworthy. Someone who listens and doesn't need to fix you. Do something different.. in your day.. in your week anything. Lastly. Move your body. Dance. Walk. Exercise. It doesn't have to be fancy.
