Let’s talk retinoids
Let’s Talk Retinoids (Retinol, Retinal & Vitamin A) Hi everyone 👋✨ Today’s discussion is all about RETINOIDS — one of the most powerful ingredients in skincare. 🧴 What are retinoids? Retinoids are a form of Vitamin A that help to: - Increase cell turnover - Boost collagen production - Improve skin texture + tone - Reduce fine lines, acne & pigmentation 🔍 Types of retinoids (important to know) - Retinol → beginner-friendly (most common) - Retinal (Retinaldehyde) → stronger, faster results - Prescription retinoids (e.g. tretinoin) → medical strength 👉 The stronger it is, the faster it works but also more irritation risk ⚠️ What clients NEED to understand Retinoids are amazing… but they must be used correctly: - Start 2–3 times per week only - Use at night only 🌙 - Always follow with SPF in the day ☀️ - Expect some: Dryness Flaking “Purging” phase - 👉 This is normal if managed properly 💡 Therapist Tips (your expertise section) - Always assess skin type + barrier health first - Avoid combining with: Strong acids (initially) Over-exfoliation - - Focus on hydration + barrier repair 🚫 Who should avoid or be cautious? - Pregnancy / breastfeeding - Very sensitive or compromised skin - Rosacea (case by 💬 Let’s discuss 👇 I’d love to hear from you: - Have you used retinol before? - Did you experience purging or irritation? - What results did you see? - Do you prefer gentle or stronger formulations?

Self-Care Sunday – Let’s Reset Together 🌿
Happy Sunday everyone! Self-care isn’t just about spa days and face masks (although we love those too!). It’s about taking a moment to slow down, reconnect with yourself, and give your mind and body a little kindness after a busy week. Today I invite you to take 10–20 minutes just for you. That might be: ✨ A gentle facial massage ✨ A short walk and some fresh air ✨ Drinking a warm herbal tea ✨ Applying a nourishing face mask ✨ Taking a few deep breaths and relaxing your shoulders Remember, when we care for ourselves, we show up better for our clients, our families, and our work.

A little massage makes a difference!
Hi everyone, I thought I’d jump in today and share a quick tip from one of my treatments. Facial and massage techniques can make such a difference to circulation, relaxation and skin health. I’ll be sharing more tips, techniques and training ideas here again, so feel free to ask questions or let me know what you’d like to learn more about. was also thinking it could be nice to start doing a monthly online workshop where we can go through techniques, ask questions and learn together. will post about that soon guys in the meantime any questions or comments please let me know.
