Summit Follow-Up Questions
(1) I am concerned about the cyber security and personal data risks that exist when creating a digital clone. Can someone actually hack, replicate, or "steal" your clone? I'm assuming no patent or identity protection laws exist around digital clones (given the rapid growth, our government can't keep up). If your digital clone lives on perpetuity, who has the right to access or use it when you are gone?
(2) This one might be best answered by Zack Kass: We all know internet access is not equitably distributed. For marginalized populations, the ability to personally utilize and best benefit from unlimited intelligence may not be an option. How do we act now to prevent further widening of the wealth, health, and opportunity gap as AI becomes quotidian?
(3) Although I would love to believe that all the contributors to this great summit are truly doing this out of the goodness of the own hearts (plus, free advertising for them), I am curious to what extent AI platforms may be backing this summit. If Claude etc. are financially supporting these presentations, then who is to say that the content is not biased in favor of AI - i.e. that the potential negatives (such as breach of personal data) are being intentionally ignored? Unregulated AI could just further the ability of the wealthiest 1% to further benefit off of vulnerable populations, in the same way that unregulated capitalism has...
