I don't know what I'm doing but I know I'm doing a really good job
Today a friend (from this community) reached out and asked to chat. We got on a call and really had a productive conversation to solve a real world problem. I talk to people online almost all day every day, and wish I could talk to even more, but I find that the overwhelming majority of problems that people have in America can be boiled down to one single thing:
lack of community
It is truly an epidemic. We are radically isolated, mostly into our phones, and we have collectively forgotten how and why communities matte
I have a LOT to say on this subject, I've been writing about it for 5 years now in fact. I don't know what I want to do with this particular group, but I want to invest more of my time here so at least the people here can get what they might need that I can provide
We need to do more video calls, and we need to invite more people here
