Truly managing your ADHD means focusing on the basics
Ever since I got my ADHD diagnosis 🧠 I've been obsessed when it comes to my physical and mental health 💪 and it has made all the difference in helping me manage my ADHD. It's the one area of your life you can truly control ✅, of course besides having to struggle with ADHD pulling in all directions 🌀 BUT it's where you will see and feel the most impact. It also creates a sense of empowerment and follow through 🙌, which is something we ADHDer's have struggled with our entire existence. In the end you won't be able to fully control when your mind decides to lose focus 🎯, but you can certainly take proactive steps to not only lessen them but also to help regain your focus when needed. My focus on nutrition 🥗 has led me to do extensive research on what's required to support my dopamine cycle and I've even gone so far as to get additional blood work 🩸 done to check additional micronutrients that were ignored in my yearly check up. I recently purchased this Quest Core Vitamin and Micronutrient Panel 🧪 and when I compare those results to my previous yearly checkup in May it's clear I'm doing pretty good across the board 📈. My vitamin D ☀️ also improved slightly which was due to my eating more salmon 🐟 and taking daily walks🚶outside in the sun . For the record low vitamin D can mimic ADHD when it comes to things like fatigue 😴, low energy 🔋, brain fog 🌫️, poor sleep quality 🛌. All of those symptoms have improved significantly for me over the past several months ⬆️. I'm also great to see that the other key micronutrients like Magnesium, Folate, Iron, Vitamin B6 are also in good standing ✅ as those are key to creating dopamine and norepinephrine ⚡

[START HERE] Welcome To The ADHD Performance Lab 🤗 🚩
Welcome! My name is Joe Keohan and I'm 56 and late-diagnosed with ADHD at 53. I struggled all my life with ADHD. From forgetting just about everything, to lack of focus and follow through to the darker side of depression and alcohol/drug addiction. But once I finally figured out how to manage and thrive with my ADHD, I learned to lean into it as my superpower. In all honesty the day I stopped seeing ADHD as a Deficit and Disorder and started living as someone who is Action Driven and Highly Determined, everything changed. I started caring for my mind and body through diet, nutrition, supplements, exercise, meditation and that is how I regained the focus and energy to do what needed to get done. When you're ready, please just say hi below, and that's the whole ask. Literally just "Hi 👋"
Weekly Wins & Accountability Friday 9/25
🎉 Weekly Wins & Accountability Friday!! Another week in the books, let's celebrate what we showed up for. I'll kick it off with mine... 📖 Completed the first module of The ADHD Performance OS. Its focused on locking in your values which influence your decisions. You can find it here. There are slides and a Values exercise bottom of the page so I'd start there. 🏋️ Hit 4 Orange Theory classes this week and getting stronger in areas I would have never worked out before on my own. OT was worth the premium to be in a room with other like-minded and motivated individuals. 📅 479 days sober. On June 3, 2025 I decided alcohol needed to go if I was ever to truly manage my ADHD. The clarity of mind that comes with sobriety has given me the opportunity to come as far as I have. 👥 Meeting with my coach 2x a week and it's paying off. As a coach myself I believe in the power of coaching and will most likely be working with coaches until the day I die...no joke...you'll only get so far in the life on your own but you can cut that progress by degrees when you work with someone who is where you want to be The wins compound when you protect your foundation first. 💪 🤝 My Accountability ⏰ Getting up between 5-6am and am going to push myself this week be more consistent at just 5am. 👥 Haven't made the progress I wanted on some session material I'm working on, so I'm looking for an accountability partner this week to hold me accountable. Anyone interested? What's one win, big or small, you're carrying into the weekend? Drop it below 👇
🎉 This week's lineup is one you won't want to miss!
Hey everyone, hope you're heading into the week strong! Whether you just joined or you've been part of the community for a while, as a fellow ADHDer you're exactly where you need to be. This week there are 2 sessions on the calendar. So come as you are, bring your questions, and let's figure this out together. 𝗧𝗵𝘂𝗿𝘀𝗱𝗮𝘆, 𝗦𝗲𝗽𝘁𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝟮𝟰𝘁𝗵, 𝟭:𝟯𝟬 𝘁𝗼 𝟮:𝟯𝟬𝗽𝗺 𝗘𝗦𝗧 Body Doubling This is one of the best systems to use to make some progress in the area of executive dysfunction. We open with a brief check in where you state what your working on then work in silence side by side toward our own goals, and close out with a final check in. If you've ever sat down to do something alone and watched an hour disappear before you even started, this is the fix. Something about another person quietly working next to you (even virtually) makes starting easier and finishing more likely. Come with a task, any task, and let's get it done together. 𝗧𝗵𝘂𝗿𝘀𝗱𝗮𝘆, 𝗦𝗲𝗽𝘁𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝟮𝟰𝘁𝗵, 𝟯:𝟬𝟬 𝘁𝗼 𝟰:𝟬𝟬𝗽𝗺 𝗘𝗦𝗧 Group Coaching Share what you're struggling with then work through some strategies in real time to help you take the next small step forward. Come with a struggle and leave with advice or just come to listen. What's one thing you're struggling with this week? Drop it below 👇
