🎉 This week's lineup is one you won't want to miss!
Hey everyone, hope you're heading into the week strong! Whether you just joined or you've been part of the community for a while, as a fellow ADHDer you're exactly where you need to be. This week we have the following sessions on the caledar. So come as you are, bring your questions, and let's figure this out together. 𝗧𝘂𝗲𝘀𝗱𝗮𝘆, 𝗢𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝟲𝘁𝗵, 𝟭:𝟯𝟬 𝗘𝗦𝗧 Body Doubling This is one of the best systems to use to make some progress in the area of executive dysfunction. We open with a brief check in where you state what your working on then work in silence side by side toward our own goals, and close out with a final check in. If you've ever sat down to do something alone and watched an hour disappear before you even started, this is the fix. Something about another person quietly working next to you (even virtually) makes starting easier and finishing more likely. Come with a task, any task, and let's get it done together. 𝗧𝗵𝘂𝗿𝘀𝗱𝗮𝘆, 𝗢𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝟴𝘁𝗵, 𝟲:𝟬𝟬𝗽𝗺 𝗘𝗦𝗧 Community Q&A Share what you're struggling with then work through some strategies in real time to help you take the next small step forward. Come with a struggle and leave with advice or just come to listen. What's one thing you're struggling with this week? Drop it below 👇

What if ADHD isn't a Deficit at all?
So what if ADHD isn’t a deficit at all and it's more a natural variation of human cognition? I first came across this concept in Dr. Miguel Toribio-Mateas's book ADHD Body and Mind: A Compassionate Guide to Rewilding Your Nervous System with Neuroscience, Nutrition, and Gut-Brain Health It was a great read and would be the 2nd book I'd recommend to anyone with ADHD or wanting to learn more about ADHD after ADHD 2.0 by Dr Hallowell. 🤔 Curious if anyone has read either book 🖕 If you have ADHD then your brain processes dopamine differently, it's not that you have more or less of it, it's just the pathways moving them around are different which is why you can hyperfocus on what captures your attention, spot patterns and connect the dots that others miss, take chances that others wouldn't. That's not a deficit. That's a character trait. But here’s the thing, you've spent decades trying to fix something that was never broken.

Body Doubling + Q&A Today
Whether you just joined or you've been part of the community for a while, as a fellow ADHDer you're exactly where you need to be. Were hosting the following 2 sessions today. So come as you are, bring your questions, and let's figure this out together. Thursday, October 1st 1:30 to 2:30pm EST Body Doubling This is one of the best systems to use to make some progress in the area of executive dysfunction. Community Q&A - Thursday, October 1st @3pm
Struggling with something ADHD related, then bring it to the The ADHD Performance Lab Q&A. We don't treat ADHD as something to fix. We treat it as a brain to understand and a performance engine to tune. Every stuck moment is data, and every question is the start of a new experiment. So bring me the stuff that's getting in your way. Maybe you start strong and lose steam halfway through. Maybe focus disappears the second you need it most, or you said yes to something before your brain had a chance to weigh in. Maybe you're wondering if what you eat, how you sleep or how you move is holding back your performance. Or maybe you're still figuring out what ADHD means for who you are. All of it is fair game. Here's what I'll bring. Real strategies you can test this week, a little brain science so you know why they work, and a few questions that might flip how you're looking at the problem. Don't worry about asking it perfectly. Some of my best coaching conversations started with "I don't even know how to say this, but..." Send me your question by: 💬 Dropping it in the comments ✉️ Sending me a DM Would you rather ask live? Go for it. Just want to show up and listen? That works too. Come as you are and leave with your next experiment. Add the session to your calendar so you won't forget, cause we know how easy that is for us ADHDer's.

Blood Work Checked Out Now Onto The Gut Health Challenge
After getting my recent blood work back, I made a decision to go deeper. I just joined The 8 Week Holistic Gut Reset led by Charley O'Halloran, who also runs The Holistic Gut Health Hub, and I'm excited to see what the next two months bring. Everything I teach here starts with one belief. The fastest way to have a positive impact on your ADHD is to focus on your health first. Before the strategies, the systems and the routines, you need your body to be working with you. My blood work gave me a clearer picture of where I stand, and my gut is one area I feels needs a bit more love. Although the science connecting gut health and ADHD is still early we know people with ADHD tend to have more gut issues, and researchers are learning a lot about how the gut and brain talk to each other. I'm expecting to learn, experiment and learn more about the gut > brain relationship and come back here and share what I've learned. I'll post updates along the way on what changed, what didn't, and what I'd recommend. Anyone else currently focused on working on their gut health? 👇
