👉 Question:
From @castt4 “Hey Tyson, I was thinking and talking to chat gpt and is a good idea have a contract? Like
Copywriter name: castelhano
Client: Mohamed
Blábláblá I agree for this value and blábláblá.
Do u think that it is important?”
👉 Answer:
It’s likely that later on you’ll end up signing contracts…
… especially when you work with bigger clients.
I’d say if you’re in the beginning stages, your priority is getting a clear scope of work.
This will look like the quantity of work for the amount of money you agreed on.
Having these set up could save you when you least expect it.
For example, if a client asks you to do some extra work, you can mention that it’s not written in the scope…
… and therefore you can charge extra.
There are some clients who will ask you to sign contracts and NDAs to work with them.
Don’t sweat about it, this is pretty common.
Also, something that is important to note is to use your real details.
Idk if CastleHano is your real name or not, but if it isn’t… don’t use it in the contract or other important docs like the scope.
