his was one of the very first books I ever read.
Back in like March - April of 2024, I remember reading it on my iPhone, good times…
And man did it give me some life changing insights, some people said the book just explained common sense, not for me at least…
It changed my perspective of the world, it give me a new lens to view the world! πŸ‘“
And no, it is not about not caring about anything, and all that you may think…
It is about choosing what to care about, and I am just going to share here just 5 of my favourite / the insights I think will help you the most, so let us get in.
Insight #1:
Solve the problems you care about and deal with the bad problems you don’t really mind,
this is super relevant to the people who are stuck deciding on what life career they want, business model and etc, instead of thinking what business makes the money for example, focus on the one that has the problems you would be fine to deal with, all of them have problems, of you are a copywriter you have to send out like 1000 cold emails a day to get clients, and of you are a YouTuber / influencer you have to deal with your identity on the internet, solve the problems you care about.
Insight #2:
Take responsibility for everything,
There is no worse life I think then blaming other people around you for all your problems! It just makes you so negative, and unhappy, I say take responsibility for practically everything in your life, as it is the only way to truly be free! Even for stuff that is not necessary your fault, having this mindset will just do you and the world a good, I am a big believer in this.
Insight #3: Life sucks sometimes and that is okay,
Sometimes I think I have to and should be happy all the time. But the author of the book advises against that, he says due to social media, due to the fact that you are one scroll away from seeing someone on FaceBook for example having the time of their life smiling, then you keep seeing that, that is why we think everything needs to be perfect all the time, but it really does not and it is actually a good thing negatives happen, as there has to be balance with good and bad, I like to think there cannot be light without dark, back in the old days your grandpa or whatever would have felt bad and just got on with his life, we should be the same.
Insight #4: Don’t pretend to be someone your not,
This is an important one, the truth really sets you free, don’t pretend you are a certain type of person, for example to impress someone as sooner or later your real, authentic self will come out, never lie to yourself. Be authentic, even of you think other people might find you cringe or whatever.
Insight #5: The goal is not no problems, it is simply better problems,
I really like this one he says that imagine there is one person who is fat, out of shape eats junk food all the time, they have to suffer with the problem of being fat, and then there is the fit person who is in shape and eats clean, they have a problem too! They have to suffer with the problems of not eating the food they want most of the time, the discipline of exercising daily or whatever, but who has the better problems? The author says of you had no problems your brain would make them up anyway, so the goal is not no problems, just β€œsuffering” for better problems.
And that is it guys, I have linked the full PDF of the book below and of you want the physical copy, you can get it here on Amazon.
