Is Nostalgia A Trap?
(Don’t want to read? Scroll to the bottom to watch my video on this) Do you ever get nostalgic? Ever think back to the days when you were younger, playing video games, Minecraft, Call of Duty, etc? Nostalgia definitely can be good or bad, sometimes there is nothing more wholesome and fun then, for example setting up split screen on your PC and playing Minecraft with an old friend or a group of your childhood friends. Then again though it can be bad, it can be a distraction, a lot of people these days especially young people, young men, and whatnot, it is like we are blinded by nostalgia in a way. We are blinded by stuff like OG Minecraft, Garry's Mod, summer of 2016 and stuff, and it can distract you from the present moment, a lot of people today look back at these times with “gold-tinted glasses” in reality, sure the times may have been good and etc, the truth is you forget the bad times back then, and they genuinely were not as good as you think. Lack of presence is one of the biggest reasons for unhappiness, and even focus and stuff, for example of you are working hard on your business, and you randomly get thoughts about nostalgia and the past, that can be bad. I guess the message I am trying to give you across this post is nostalgia is great and I love it but it can also be a double-edged sword. So enjoy nostalgia, when the time is right, and do not glamourise it / try relive it to often as it can be a distraction of done too much, and it can distract you and make you unhappy in the present, and lose your gratitude for the present. And yeah, I would like to end this post by saying this famous quote: ”Don’t be sad, it’s over. Be grateful it happened.”

Studies say that the brain does not know the difference between remembering a memory and current actual perception. Let that sink in for a moment... So that being the case. We are already the Observers. But our power at/on this stage of perception. Is to modify, amend, reinforce, enrich those memories we can already, that we feel wood make us greater versions of ourselves 🤷‍♂️💃 So remember something. Relax. Embrace all the sensations you can from it, smells, sounds, feel, really render it, give it definition. Let it play. Change the parts you didn't like. Make it better! Whatever, however you want! Smile ☺️ Acknowledge it as a memory! You're just reliving it in your mind right. Simple 🤷‍♂️💚

💭 Stop Being Embarrassed About the Past Listen… being embarrassed about your past? Totally pointless. What happened, happened. You cannot go back and redo it. There was a lesson in it, and that’s what matters. We all make choices we regret. We all experience embarrassment. It’s part of life, part of growing, part of figuring out who we are. Sitting in shame, self-pity, or victimhood? Useless. Completely unnecessary. Most of the time, if you look back, it’s actually kinda funny. Something stupid, something awkward—but not something to carry around forever. Laugh at it, learn from it, and move on. And to those judging? 🤫 Shut up. We’ve all been there. We’ve all felt that cringe. Life isn’t about perfection—it’s about evolution. ✨ Embrace your past, own your lessons, and live your now.

Now physically put it out of your mind before you get bored. Go do whatever. That's it. It's done. Give your timelines a chance to align. Energy goes where you focus it. If ya still a little wobbly with that focus, keep it diverted. Keeps your energy more balanced and distributed. You may notice people struggle to look you in the eyes anymore, it's cool, we're just a little too intense for some right now. So if you are open to advice.
