Thoughts???

@Aj Arroyo Have now taken a couple hundred swings with the short bat - hitting some pretty solidly, mis-hitting a whole bunch including plenty of pop-ups... etc... with the result that I now have a pretty cool wear pattern on the short bat, with at least SOME contact exactly where I would have expected it to be. But I also have a WHOLE BUNCH of what I assume are impacts where I pushed the bat rather than snapping/pivoting correctly... as opposed to these being decent technical swings where I just mis-hit the ball. ...anyway, I am QUITE sure that by now you have a good handful of bats with obvious wear patterns from your more proficient/professional guys, and I was wondering if you could post a pic or two about what a good impact pattern looks like from someone who does this consistently well. (slash, this might be a cool "short") Thanks! In the pic, all of the wear you see is a RHB. I see that if I hold the RH mini half bat with the nub at 10:30 or so that the flat hitting surface is at 9:00 on the clock face. I assume that means that with the short/gamer models that if the nub on the handle is at 10:30/11:00 that the impact surface is still intended to be 9:00 or so on the clock face. Therefore with the nub at 10:30, all of the 12:00 impacts are the equivalent of me cutting the ball with the mini, not hitting it flush. Pushing/other bad hand action, then...

Coach @Aj Arroyo here’s game footage from last weekend. 15u pitcher throwing probably low-mid 70’s. My thoughts: 1) launching too early 2) stance a bit too wide 3) moving too fast and too forward. Including two videos. One is a comparison against Shohei. And the other is the actual at-bat footage.

Sorry if the video is bad, but I’m noticing that I’m usually on time(from other videos), but my barrel is under the ball. So I don’t really know if it’s something with my lower half or I’m just dropping my hands. My coaches told me to level the bat because my hands are at the ball height(around) and if I did level it off I would be getting hits, but going off HLP it doesn’t really work like that. Any help/feedback is very much appreciated!
