Broad Jump helps with horizontal force which is very key in becoming faster as a runner but also the displacement needed in the 2-4 Step Approach Jump.
Max Effort for Distance in your Broad Jump is the main way athletes train and measure horizontal force.
Why did we do a single-legged landing?
As athletes, we simply need to also need to make small adjustments to help with injury reduction. Decelerate under different speed, 1 leg at a time to minimize imbalances between both legs, body control and awareness.
So many things can be done for Injury Reduction without turning the session into a Prehab/Rehab session that while these things have importance, if they do not blend with higher outputs, you wont truly prepare the body nor perform as high in the long term. Marry the 2!!
