“If they see you fighting, let them see you reconcile”
In my latest appearance on the show “Café con Canela,” we reflected on the importance of maintaining a happy environment at home for our children to thrive.
Although this might seem contradictory, it is normal for parents to argue sometimes, and it can be a sign of a healthy marriage, as long as respect is not lost and there is no violence of any kind.
It is a reality that people who love each other sometimes fight. While it is preferable not to do so in front of the children, it is not the end of the world when it happens, provided they also have the opportunity to see how mom and dad resolve their differences and reconcile.
This will bring great benefits to the children, as they will learn how to handle such situations in the future and understand that romantic love has many complexities that are not reflected in movies and love stories.
