[email protected] 🌍 LGBTQ News Round-Up (by Region) 🇺🇸 United States• Record representation in sports: At least 41 out LGBTQ athletes are set to compete in the 2026 Milan Winter Olympics, the most ever out queer athletes at a single Games. • New gaming inclusion milestone: A major Nintendo game now lets players create characters that are gay, bi, ace & nonbinary, sparking discussion about representation in global media. 🇬🇧 United Kingdom• New Procurement Opportunities: The UK Procurement Act 2023, which took effect in early 2025, is opening new doors for LGBTQ+-owned businesses to compete for public sector contracts.. 🇦🇺 Australia• Leadership & Recognition: Paul Zahra was appointed Patron of Pride in Diversity in May 2025. Eric Kuhlmann was named the first inductee to the 2026 South Australian Pride Hall of Fame. 🌍 Africa• Even without new laws, current anti-LGBTQ+ discrimination is estimated to cost Kenya between $360 million and $1.5 billion annually due to reduced productivity, lost foreign investment, and, in some cases, decreased tourism. ___________________________________________________________________________________________________ 🛍️ Merch Coming Soon: Member Input Wanted!
