Try a slightly odd thought experiment.
Imagine every price disappeared from your business.
A customer lands on your website, speaks to your team, receives your proposal, visits your premises, sees your packaging and experiences your sales process.
Then we ask them:
“Do you expect this business to be cheap, mid-market or expensive?”
What would they say?
More importantly:
What gave them that impression?
Because customers start forming a price expectation long before they see the actual number.
Language.
Design.
Speed.
Confidence.
Proof.
How you present choices.
How easy you are to deal with.
Whether everything feels considered or cobbled together.
The question isn’t “How do I make myself look expensive?”
It’s:
Does the experience around my price support the price I’m asking people to pay?
That’s worth looking at before assuming the answer to better margins is simply changing the number.
