Pay a small subscription fee for access to all stumpwork embroidery classes or have it a la carte style at $5 each? I’m asking because I know these days a lot of things have subscriptions but I don’t know which is the fair choice. I think I like the community and allowing people to join for free so we can talk casually. But I also know that maybe people would appreciate the all you can learn style for a subscription fee as well as long as it’s affordable. I will tag the active members to ask: @Tiffany Noel Taylor @Cecilia Lee @LeAnn Sagel @Laura Seay @Maria Hirose @Pamela Arent Mela Vista @Lauren Anderson @Lisa Z @Beverley Hirchfeld @Karin Crawford @Denee Richardson @Dorothy Ward @Elizabeth Akasaka @Guadalupe Zamorano @Jess Green @Jenna Kelly @Jing Wang @Julie Leka @Jordan Taylor @Karen Shooter @April Kilby @Maddie Longpre @Riley Mullen @Rachael Padfield @Rebecca Sturgeon @Savana Rose @Vanessa Leal @Amanda V

Which green item would you rather make?
Tip: the Venus fly trap ear cuff is a lot harder to do. Also it’s my original design. As are the mossy earrings but that is not stumpwork. Sorry I was late for St Patty’s. It’s not really a thing in Japan so I forgot about it.

Question of the day
If you could meet an artist, famous, dead, alive or anonymous, who would it be and why? As a high schooler I admired Roy Lichtenstein’s work. But as an embroiderer now I think Monet because I find myself needing to use impressionist techniques to needle paint.
Should I make embroidery kits??
The only problem is tariffs. 😩 But if you have a hard time finding the required materials, would an embroidery kit help? It ships from Japan though. I am working on an embroidery book of stitches too. So maybe it’s training for me to set it up.
Besides stumpwork is there another kind of embroidery you want to try?
I also became obsessed with making moss at one point. I really loved the look of it. I made so many french knots and turkey work it was nuts and it took such a long time. (I closed my etsy by the way) I’ve moved on from moss and I still love its aesthetic. But it was so much work I turned to short and long later for needle painting. How about you? Was there a technique or stitch that made you want to try it? Did you succeed?
