I'll Go First 👋
In the spirit of sharing and making this a space where we can connect, learn, and support one another, I thought I'd introduce myself. I'm Lyne Tilt, founder of Studio on Brunswick, professional artist, educator, and coach. I live in Manly, Brisbane, and spend my days wearing a variety of hats. Some days I'm in the studio painting, some days I'm working with artists through coaching and workshops, and some days I'm building communities and creative opportunities through Studio on Brunswick and Emergent Gallery. I'm passionate about helping artists create sustainable, fulfilling creative lives, which means I'm just as interested in the person behind the artwork as I am in the artwork itself. When I'm not working, you'll often find me spending time with family, including my very adorable grandson, or dreaming up the next slightly ambitious project that probably seemed like a good idea at the time. 😄 I'd love to get to know you too, so tell us a little about yourself in the comments. ✨ Where are you joining us from? ✨ What kind of creative work do you do? ✨ What are you hoping to gain from being part of this community?
I'll Go First 👋

Hi. I’m Clare and I’ve been painting since 2018. I’m new to the art scene and I’m really looking forward to learning lots. I mainly paint portraits and love all things retro. Art is my happy place, I love creating it and seeing other people’s beautiful art.

Hello :)
Hi, my name is Jo, I am a Northern Rivers NSW artist and affiliate artist with Emergent Gallery - Studio on Brunswick. I am an abstract expressionism artist. Basically my work is my journal, however I present subjects or emotional areas that sometimes we find hard to express or be vulnerable with. So, you may find your own interpretation within my work or connect in some way. I'm also an art therapy practitioner and offer holistic based workshops and art classes. Seeing people reconnect with their creativity makes me so happy. I am a mum to three adult children and in the last little while finding the space to rediscover myself for who I am in this new chapter of life. I love creating and expressing through art and all it holds. So happy that this space is here for us to be able to connect and be there for each other along the way.
Hello :)
Hi and nice to meet you!
I'm Abbie an abstract painter from Brisbane. I paint to bring calm to myself and the homes my paintings live in. I grew up in my mother’s art studio and have been painting and drawing all my life. I've exhibited in lots of galleries across australia and been a finalist in numerous art prizes which is how I've ended up in this group. I won highly commended at the Revival art and design art prize this year and this coaching was part of my prize! I've been in and around Studio on Brunswick since almost the beginning, have held two solo shows and been a part of a few group exhibitions. My paintings are deeply intertwined with my own personal experiences through love, loss and human connection. I have a fascination with movement and our interactions with it and continually explores this through the use of fluid pigments. My choice to use raw canvas with acrylic paint creates dreamy evocative scenes, encouraging us to stop and exhale. You can find me on instagram at @abbie_white_art or on my website www.abbiewhiteart.com
