Hi and nice to meet you!

I'm Abbie an abstract painter from Brisbane. I paint to bring calm to myself and the homes my paintings live in.

I grew up in my mother’s art studio and have been painting and drawing all my life. I've exhibited in lots of galleries across australia and been a finalist in numerous art prizes which is how I've ended up in this group. I won highly commended at the Revival art and design art prize this year and this coaching was part of my prize! I've been in and around Studio on Brunswick since almost the beginning, have held two solo shows and been a part of a few group exhibitions.

My paintings are deeply intertwined with my own personal experiences through

love, loss and human connection. I have a fascination with movement and our

interactions with it and continually explores this through the use of fluid pigments.

My choice to use raw canvas with acrylic paint creates dreamy evocative

scenes, encouraging us to stop and exhale.
