3 months left in 2026
There's about 3 months left in 2026. Just under 100 days. Back in June I wrote about hitting the half-year mark and feeling like life was on autopilot, just flying by. Well... it flew by again. Here's the thing though. However your year has gone so far, this is a second chance. You can still fight back harder and finish strong. Take a pen and paper for this one. Writing it down forces you to actually think. What would need to happen by December 31st for you to look back and call 2026 a success? Not 20 things. The 2 or 3 that would actually matter. Drop yours below if you want someone to hold you to it. Mine is reaching 200+ members in this community and the Forge.

If your life was a movie...
If your life was a movie, what would the audience be screaming at you right now? "Just text her." "Quit that job." "Stop scrolling and go to bed." "You already know what to do." In Rocky the grind is a 3-minute montage with music. In real life it can be 4 years of showing up with no visible change. Honestly, that's where I am right now, and it's the reason I started this community. Change is lonely and it's hard. A lot of you are in what Chris Williamson calls the lonely chapter. You've outgrown the old version of you, but the new one isn't here yet. Your old friends don't really get why you're up early or skipping the Friday night out. There's nobody to talk to about the goals, the doubts, the weeks where nothing seems to move. So you keep going, mostly on your own. You don't have to do this chapter alone. Drop a quick hi below and say where you're from. Then say hi to someone else in the comments. Meet new people through this post.
I'll be happy when...
There's this idea called deferred life syndrome. "Life starts once I get X out of the way." "I'll be happy when I hit Y." Chris Williamson calls it holding your happiness hostage. When I sat with that, I was on this exact boat. It felt like I was in the pre-season of my life, like the real thing would start later. So I was never present. Either stuck replaying the past or stressing about the future. "We suffer more often in imagination than in reality." Seneca Stack that with productivity debt, that voice telling you you're behind even after a day where you ticked every box, and you get total chaos. What if that happiness never comes? What if you can be happy where you are right now? Maybe not satisfied, if you have goals to pursue, but you can still be happy. Let me know in the comments if you guys also feel like you're in a pre-season.

You'll never have 95% of the info
You need to make decisions when you're unsure. You never get 95% of the information. And if you do, you're probably already late. I used to wait. Wait until I knew enough, until the plan was perfect, until I felt ready. All that waiting was just a slower way of not doing it. I'm reading The Book of Elon right now, and one of his ideas is to move with uncertainty and speed. In his world, if you're not literally breaking stuff, you're not moving fast enough. Create first. Optimize later. Decide with what you have. Adjust as you go. A wrong decision you can fix. A decision you never make just quietly costs you time. What decision have you been sitting on, waiting for more info?
