🚨 The NCAA just unanimously approved a new 5-year eligibility model.
If you are a 2027 or 2028 high school recruit, you need to wake up. ⏰
This is going to devastate your recruiting landscape.
Here is the reality of what this means:
🛑 The Roster Bottleneck: College coaches now get 5 guaranteed seasons of competition out of their current players. Why take a chance on an unproven 17-year-old when they can keep a 21-year-old veteran for an extra year?
📉 The End of Development Years: The safety net of the "redshirt year" to go get bigger and stronger is gone. If you aren't physically and mentally ready to step on the pitch and compete against 23-year-old men/women on Day 1, coaches won't take you. ❌
💰 Shrinking Freshman Classes: Rosters aren't getting bigger, but players are staying longer. Available money and spots for incoming freshmen just shrank overnight.
Coaches don't want projects anymore. They want finished products. 🛠️
The standard just went up!!
If you need help navigating the process, DM me the word 'PLAN' and I'll send over a quick application to see if it makes sense to jump on a 15-minute Zoom.
