✨ Poem Prompt: A Gratitude List That Turns Into a Poem ✨
I recently recorded a little poem that started as a simple gratitude list and naturally turned into something more. It got me thinking about how poetry can be a personal practice, helping us notice the little things, reconnect with ourselves and find rhythm in our everyday thoughts. Your prompt: Start with the words “I am so grateful…” and see where they take you. Repeat the phrase as many times as you like. Let it rhyme, ramble, surprise you or take you somewhere unexpected. You don't need to force it or make it perfect. Just follow the flow. You could write about the little things, the big things, the things you're healing from or the things you're learning to love about yourself. - Bonus challenge: Try saying your poem aloud. Does a rhythm emerge? Do any unexpected words or rhymes appear? Share your poem below if you feel like it. I'd love to read what comes up for you.

🌿 Poetry Prompt: The Beauty of Overgrown Gardens 🐝
Write a poem about the beauty we often overlook, the things we leave to grow wild, or the new life that emerges when we allow things to be as they are. Perhaps your poem will explore healing, freedom, transformation, or finding beauty in the unexpected. 🐝 What does an overgrown garden mean to you? Let your imagination wander, follow the little details, and see where the words take you. There are no rules. Just you, nature, and whatever wants to emerge. 🌱

🐟 Poem of the Day: The Ones That Got Away: Slippery Fish
Inspired by Lucas Jones @lucassjoness and his book I Still Believe in Miracles. Sometimes a quote sparks a whole new stream of thought! Your prompt: Write a poem about the one that got away. It could be a person, a dream, an opportunity, a moment in time or even a version of yourself you sometimes miss. Or take the idea somewhere completely unexpected. What if the thing that got away wasn't meant to be caught in the first place? #PoemOfTheDay #SpokenWordPoetry #PoetryCommunity #LucasJones #InspiredBy
