Representing Home Base Africa at the African Union in Addis Ababa
Family, amazing news and a heartfelt ask. Tomorrow, Marvin and I fly to Addis Ababa at the invitation of Africans Rising to the African Union Headquarters to advocate for a borderless Africa—policies that unlock trade, tourism, and real, inclusive growth. We’ll be representing Homebase Africa, and we’re honored to carry our message, vision, and voice into those rooms. 🙏🏾 Two ways to stand with us: - Sign the petition — every signature counts and will be tallied in the room on Nov 15 at AU HQ: https://bit.ly/BorderlessAfrica_planbacktoafrica - If you’re on Instagram, watch + share the reel to spread the word: https://www.instagram.com/reel/DQ9BO6HCMBp/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link&igsh=MzRlODBiNWFlZA== We’ll share on-the-ground updates, behind-the-scenes moments and give space to ask questions in my Instagram stories! For context: November 15 is a historic date. On Nov 15, 1884, colonial powers gathered in Berlin for the Congo Conference to draw Africa’s borders for their own interests and to divide us. We believe a borderless Africa puts our mission into action: free movement lets ideas, capital, and guests flow, empowering local ownership, creating millions of jobs, and building a connected network of Homebases that welcome the diaspora home and fuel sustainable, African-led tourism. Thank you for the support, shares, and signatures 🫶🏾
