Binging on the right stuff... HA (free) Classroom!
Hey there. I resting with my friend in Accra tonight and I am feeling so grateful and excited. I had a big chunk of free time to myself today. What are some things I normally do during a break like this when I'm traveling? Binge watch a show I've wanted to catch up on, veg out and watch mindless TV, read, listening to music (constantly), texting friends and family, catch up on emails, etc... you get the point. You probably do something similar. I chose a different kind of binge tonight. It was sooooo fun. I clicked on the classroom tab here on Homebase Africa! Honestly, again, I am blown away by this teams consistent generosity of heart and spirit. If you haven't checked these out yet I highly recommend it. They are excellent and have given me a lot of good information to chew on and start planning for. Even in the free membership, there are so many incredible tips, pointers, warnings, how to deal with a 'bad guest', and much more. This material could have easily been kept behind a paywall because it's that detailed, but Weyni and Marvin have given these resources away with no expectations. I'm so impressed. The crazy thing is that there are even more detailed instructions for the members. I'm looking forward to getting access to those in the near future. Anyway, thanks Homebase Africa!
Bringing some love from Chi-Town to Accra!
Let me introduce you to my friend Lonnie Irving! This is my guy! He put together some items my friends in Accra needed and we left this message for them in the day of departure. I posted this video because Lonnie is really my biggest supporter of my dream for Africa.

Update: We Have a New Property in Zanzibar
A little update from @Weyni Tesfai and my side. Just last week we signed a contract for a new rental property in Zanzibar. We already started the paperwork process and are now looking what story our property should tell. The story will have a heavy impact on the design and the feeling we want to create for our guests. I’ll be probably going this month, to start the renovation process of the house and Weyni will join me in March to finalise things there with me. We wanted to start the year right. Therefore we are taking action early on and get to work. I hope you’ll are still fired up and work on your goals. Sending everyone much energy and strength to push through this year with impactful changes in your life. I would love to know what you’re currently working on to get closer to your goal? The image is from our recent private community meet up here in Kenya. 🇰🇪 Much love from Nairobi to everyone. ❤️🙏🏽

Bit much I think it's a bit much to ask for me to be the source or supply chain myself, but looking for the most reliable sources available.

Marvin! This is amazing! I love the visual of all of you at the table. I plan to be in that picture very soon.
Can anyone help me plan a small tour in Nairobi for this December?
I am planning to host a small group tour (6-8 people) as a part of my trip to Kenya in December this year. I'm wondering if there is some way to make this work for the advantage of Homebase Africa and the tourists I'm bringing? This is a part of what I already do and want to do... I have hosted multiple international tours to Israel, Palestine, Jordan, Crete, Cyprus, etc… so I'm generally familiar with how to organize a large group tour. I want this to facilitate the dreams of my family, friends, and associates towards a life on the Continent. I'm thinking if we could give a small group a good tourist experience, off the beaten path, focused on local life, I have friends that would really be into that. They probably aren't ready and up to speed on moving to Africa, but this will most likely inspire that aspiration. I just want to make it the best possible experience for them and thought you all would be a good place to start in terms of connections to the best value and experience for tour guides and experiences on the ground. I would love, somehow, to make it a mutually beneficial venture. I truly don't want anything out of it other than Homebase Africa and my friends being benefited. I'm getting out of this everything I need already. I think this tour is very doable. Let me know what you all think and if you have any recommendations for vendors (only 5 star service recommendations), HA partners, and community members I could start partnering with on this tour in December. I can't think of a better place to recommend all my friends to start if they dream of a home in Africa. The dream is sooooo close. It's right at the tips of our fingers! Me and my people are coming!!!! Thanks! 🤟🏽🙏🏽✊🏽👊🏽
A small miracle on my first day in Ghana...
Hey all. I made to Ghana. I'm staying with my host Dasse Francis (first name Francis) and his family. I'm in a Ghanaian home to start the trip (well they are actually originally from Ivory Coast so...) He oversees one of the churches in my global network of churches here. I am resting, fed well and I have a couple of days of light activities to adjust to being here. It's just perfect. Thanks for all your well wishes and prayers. My Ghana experience began today. So far so amazing! I attended the above described church today and it was a lot of fun. One of my most important missions while I am here is to find myself and my youngest daughter a drum. At worship today I bumped into an American man who is a music professor at the Berkelee School of Music in Boston. This man teaches African Music at, arguably, the top music school on the US! He actually teaches a course called The Djembe Drum for nNon-Percussionists! He turned me on to the absolute perfect person to custom make my drum for me and it's only going to cost me $100 and includes a case and custom carvings. On the very first day of my trip, one of my most important missions was hand delivered to me without me making any effort whatsoever! He also invited me to stay at his home in Aburi. This is one of my highlighted destinations for potential airbnb before I came but I haven't been able to find anywhere I felt great about to stay. I really wanted to see and get a grasp on Aburi but had not plans and no access and now he basically offered me the keys to his house! This is crazy. This is just how my life goes now everybody.😮😮 That's it for now. Love you all and thank you for the ongoing support. It is a great sense of comfort to know that you all are here. Love, peace and Justice!
