Necromancy: Raising the dead, giving life to death. So, what is death, then? Anything in the past, every letter I write, every word you read, each is born and dies in an instant in the mind as the next word is moved onto. This is the absolute rudiment of necromancy; making the past present. Consider something common; when's the last time you had a sip of water? Can you recall it, in vivid detail, as if you are reliving the moment? If you can, then take that skill, and apply it to anything/everything else; making the past, present, vividly. With the most basic skill down, then you can start to think about the future; what will the future look like, based on the past? You can recall what one sip of water was like, so, what will the next taste like? If that can be done, then you can bring life to the unborn. Esoterically, this is the simple version of necromancy.
