This past weekend, a beautiful song was shared with me called “God’s Favorite” by Xania Monet, along with a story that deeply touched my heart. A good friend of mine recently traveled to Africa with a group of people committed to civility, kindness, and lifting others up. While traveling to an event, their taxi driver began sharing with them about his life. He told them that there had been many times when he had wanted to end his life and that he had been asking God for a sign that he mattered. In that moment, someone shared this song with him. But they didn’t stop there. They invited him to join them as a VIP for the day—to show him through their actions that he mattered, that his life had value, and that he was worthy of being seen and included. Beyond that day, he was also given the opportunity to work with one of the doctors on their team. He had asked for a sign that his life mattered, and he was reminded that he was still here for a reason. He still had purpose. He still had love to give and receive. His presence in this world mattered. I was so touched by this story and by the meaning behind this song, and it made me think of all of you. 🌿 I hope you remember just how deeply loved you are by Spirit, God, your Higher Power—whatever that loving presence means to you. You are a source of light in this world. Your presence matters. Your energy matters. The love you give matters. There are people whose lives are different simply because you are here. And sometimes, in the middle of caring for everyone else, growing, healing, and navigating life, we forget something important: You are the center of your own life. You are allowed to nurture yourself. To choose yourself. To listen to yourself. To take up space. To receive love. And to create a life that feels meaningful and true to who you are. So as you move into this new week, remember that you are loved. You are needed. You belong here. Your light has a purpose. And maybe allow yourself to believe that you really are Spirit’s favorite. 💛✨
