Frequency Friday
Language carries a frequency. Writing begins long before the first sentence. What frequency do you feel in your body before you write?

Frequency Friday - the 13th
Do you feel the frequencies of each new day? It might show up through seasonal changes, moon cycles, numerology, the Enneagram, Human Design, or personality insights like Myers-Briggs. Or sometimes it’s simply the energy of a particular day … like Friday the 13th. What does that activate in you? - Do you avoid the #13 and agree that there’s a reason buildings skip the 13th floor? - Do you wonder why there are 12 months but 13 moon cycles? - Or do you embrace it? I was born on May 13th, so it has always felt like a magical kind of day. Friday the 13th reminds me that every day is significant, and how I experience it depends on the meaning I choose to give it. One of the tools I enjoy exploring energy through is numerology, and today carries an 8️⃣ energy day. When I opened my Language Portal treasure trove this morning, this mantra surfaced: 🌟 Today I AM playing to my greatest strengths. 🌟 The high side of the eight is momentum, self-mastery, and evolution. It invites us to recognize where we are already creating movement and to lean into the strengths that support our path forward. Today’s energy reveals where alignment is already unfolding. ✨ What are you noticing about today's energy?

Frequency Friday
Ever notice how easily your writing (or opportunities) comes when you are in alignment? People ask, "Well, how do I get into alignment?" I believe it happens in the pause. When the human part of us stops pushing and starts receiving guidance from the heart. Close your eyes and drop into your heart and ask (something like), "What does my higher self desire for me in this moment?" Three weeks ago, my social media mentor, Rachel Pedersen, invited us to write one-page short stories for inclusion in a new ebook. She gave us five categories (Content, Offers, etc) and challenged us to write down one topic for each category. She choose THREE of mine, and I submitted the stories yesterday. Everyone else have two entries. This is a huge win and the stories are all in alignment with my business. I feel like my frequency has shifted just being on Skool with all of you, and hanging out for the past two weeks with @James Bansbach in his Journey into the Heart of Healing series. The writing session on Wednesday was incredible, and I'm so grateful to everyone who showed up. Did you notice a shift in your frequency this week? Where did things start flowing more easily?

Why Writing by Hand Changes Your Brain
During our co-writing session today, I was reminded of the difference between writing by hand and writing on a laptop. I journal by hand and move to my laptop when I write for social media. This morning, I filled three pages in my notebook on this very topic. Now I am typing on my laptop to share it with you. I appreciate when research validates what many of us intuitively experience. Studies continue to explore the cognitive differences between handwriting and typing. Typing can be faster. It’s efficient and practical, but it doesn’t stimulate the brain in the same way. You’re using a small amount of finger movement and typing with your thumbs on your phone is even less. Then there’s the distraction factor with notifications and the temptation to check social responses. Conversely, handwriting involves more of your body. The pen moves across the page while your eyes track the words forming. It’s a more integrated experience. Research supports this difference. Scientific American has reported that handwriting activates broader neural networks in the brain than typing, including areas tied to memory, language, and sensory processing. Studies comparing handwritten and typed notes consistently show stronger memory retention with handwriting. Because writing by hand is slower, it encourages summarizing and synthesizing rather than transcribing, which deepens encoding. A 2020 study in Frontiers in Psychology further found that handwriting increases connectivity between brain regions associated with learning and memory. There is also evidence from developmental neuroscience that forming letters by hand, especially cursively, strengthens neural pathways linked to reading and language in ways that typing does not fully replicate. For me, both have their place. Pen and paper allow ideas to surface and take form. The laptop helps refine and share them. What is your preference while writing? P.S. Will you be practicing cursive writing with me?
