💫 Exploring The Crossings 🌹 is happening in 5 days
Just for the beauty of it…
Conscious participation is about bringing the beauty within you to the day to day, & about using the day to day to feed the beauty within you 🌷✨ In existential philosophy that talk about 3 things. 3 things for you to flourish - and they are all within your control. Love where you live Love the people you surround yourself with. Love yourself. Posting this photo simply to share the beauty of it 🌊☀️ So please, show me the beauty in your life today! 🤗

Spirals (not staircases) to Heaven 🌈 🌀 🤗✨
One of the most useful ways of understanding growth is the Spiral (ever seen a fern leaf unfolding?) People often imagine healing as climbing a staircase. One step. Another step. Never looking back. But real life isn't like that. It's more like walking a spiral path up a mountain. You come back to the same view... The same questions... The same fears... The same hopes... But you're not standing where you were last time. You're a little higher. The landscape may - or may not - have changed. You have changed. So if there are days when you feel a little wobbly. Or you respond in a way that you thought you had 'out-grown' 🤗 It's helpful to see it as a spiral return. People often become discouraged because they think: "I'm anxious again." Or, "I'm grieving again." Or, "I'm doubting again." As if that means they've failed. But perhaps the better question is: "Who is the person meeting this fear today?" Because if the answer is: "Someone with more wisdom..." "Someone with more compassion..." "Someone with more experience..." Then the fear isn't the same fear anymore. It is being met by a different consciousness. And it's what you do next with your 'fully human' responses that matters more. How quickly can you notice? How quickly can you recover from emotional hijackings. How quickly can you bring your whole brain back online by connecting with your 'true heart'. And perhaps that's what transformation really looks like. Not the disappearance of life's challenges. The emergence of a different person to meet them 🌹🙌 What are your thoughts on this? Can you reflect on a time when you felt that you were back in the same painful (or irritated 😆) space? And were you able to bring something different to the table… even if it took a while! This is the essence of becoming unshakable - leaning into your Soul energy 💟 The Divine is the inspiration 🙏 The Spiritual is the practice ✨ The Psychology is the applied skill ❤️‍🔥

Do you think we arrive carrying bags? Or not? 🤭
I was reading something this morning that stated quite confidently that 'nobody enters the world with anxieties'. What are your thoughts on this? For me, I can say that... I did. I came in with my anxiety. All of the things mentioned here can be taught, or can be a part of our individual differences. They can also be a 'personality residue' from a previous life experience. If we 'died' with these feelings still within our hearts and minds, then they manifest in the next body (or, when our soul feels the opportunity is right), so that we can continue the healing. This is very prominant in Edgar Cayce's readings as well. As a psychologist I am certainly aware of toxic or unhealthy/unhelpful mindsets being impressed upon us when we are young. At home, at school, at Uni, in our relationships etc etc. I have also read about Ancenstral Trauma. And from a neuroscience perspective, it could be genes or beliefs. It could be any or all of it, however our Soul histories should not be discounted. So how do you know?? And... is it important to know? And, is 'important' as important as helpful?? 🤭 From a psychological perspective it CAN BE useful, however it's more important to look at 'NOW'. Where are you now? How do think now? How do you feel now? What do you believe... NOW. And is it helping you live a full and happy life, whatever your circumstances. Then we vision. If not this, then what? What inspires me? What lights me up inside? There is so much offered (or pushed) toward us in regard to manifesting at this time. Nothing wrong with it. Manifesting is real, we do it every day, we always have. What they offer now is how to do it with intention, amplify with attention (especially quiet attention), and live as if it is real in your life. From a Soul perspective though, I suggest that it is better to do it from a place of intrinsic motivation, rather than extrinsic. Intrinsic = Growth (Personal + Soul via Love and Joy) Extrinsic = Ego They can be combined, however even psychological research shows that those who persue extrinsically motivated goals (only), will be the ones to experience anxiety, depression and feelings of unfulfillment when they are in their late 40's - 60's (I'll check those ages - it's been a minute!) 😅

A Values push to help Lean into the Difficult
Walk Out the Door Friday 🌿 This week we’ve reflected on truth, steadiness, self-trust, and self-compassion. Today’s invitation is to take one small step from insight into action. Often, values help us do that. They remind us who we want to be, even when life feels noisy, uncertain, or emotionally overwhelming. So for this week’s Walk Out the Door Friday, I’ve uploaded a values sheet for you to work through. Just start by noticing: What matters most to me here? And what is one small step I could take that honours that? Sometimes the most powerful shifts begin quietly — with one honest choice, one grounded action, one moment of remembering what matters. If you feel called, share one value that stands out for you, or one small action you’d like to take in honour of it 🤍 *This guide comes from positivepsychology.com, however I have also written an ebook on Values. If you'd like a copy, just let me know 💜💮

Wednesday Practice - Self Compassion 🥰
On Monday, we reflected on the idea that 'you don’t need to have all the answers right now'. This is not about giving up on clarity. It’s about meeting yourself with a little more compassion while clarity is still forming. This is something I often return to in counselling as well — especially when someone is hurting, overwhelmed, or caught in harsh self-talk. If you had a physical wound, you wouldn’t usually stand over it demanding that it heal faster. You’d look at what’s there, tend it carefully, and ask: What’s showing up here? What’s the best I can do with this right now? Often, that same approach helps emotionally (and psychologically) too. So today’s practice is a simple self-compassion pause: A gentle 3-step practice 1. Notice what’s showing up. What am I feeling, carrying, or struggling with right now? 2. Drop the pressure - you don't need to have all the answers - just back yourself a little and say... "I'm going to be ok". 3. Ask one kind question. What is the best I can do with this, as I am, in this moment? That might mean: - resting 😴 - asking for support - speaking more kindly to yourself 🤗 - taking a warm bath that smells divine 💮 - catching up with the right kind of people 🙌 - or simply remembering that this moment is not the whole story You don’t need to solve everything today. Sometimes the practice is simply this: Back yourself. Be gentle. Trust that you will be okay. 🤍 If you’d like, share below: What’s one small act of self-compassion you have offered yourself recently?
