(2 minutes before sleep)
Place one hand on your chest and one on your belly.
Press gently—just enough to feel your own support.
Inhale slowly through your nose for 4.
Pause for 2.
Exhale through your mouth for 6.
As you exhale, imagine your body sinking a little heavier into the surface beneath you.
Now gently squeeze your hands into fists,
Hold for 3,
Release fully.
Notice the warmth or softening that follows.
This tells your nervous system:
I am safe. I can rest now.
Nothing else is required of you tonight,
