Lately, I've been reflecting on a recurring theme in my journey — especially in the intersection of business and mental health. I often find myself craving quick results, expecting things to happen now. But life has a way of humbling you. Every time I rush the process, I'm met with a reminder: nothing meaningful happens instantly. Growth, whether personal or professional, demands time and patience.
Still, I keep making the same mistake — chasing the fast route, the high-risk option, hoping for rapid rewards. And predictably, it leads to setbacks. But failure has become so frequent that it no longer shakes me like it used to. In fact, it’s become second nature. I no longer cling to disappointment — I just take the lesson and move.
What keeps me grounded is that I’ve learned to diversify. I place long-term, stable investments in both my projects and my mental space, knowing they'll take time. Simultaneously, I still gamble occasionally — not recklessly, but strategically — understanding the risk. It's a constant dance between patience and ambition.
The journey isn’t linear. But maybe that’s the point.
Curious to hear from others — how do you balance patience with urgency in your personal or professional life?
