🎩 Dear Society Members 🌹
This community was not built as a democracy of noise, but as a republic of standards—much like the American one.
Leadership exists, the Stewardship leads, but the voice of our members is always heard.
Last Sunday, we tested a new tool: in-app recording for our video meetings.
Two sessions were recorded and briefly shared in separate posts. The intention was simple and honest: to prove the tool worked and to give access to those who couldn’t attend live.
Those videos have since been removed by the Stewardship.
Not because privacy was ever compromised—we are, after all, a closed society with a strict admission filter—but because this was exactly that: a test. A controlled experiment around an idea we’re exploring.
The idea is straightforward: short, focused five-minute lessons at the beginning of our meetings, followed by what truly defines us—the conversations. The Gentlemen’s Conversations.
This Society is meant to grow. To become a force for good for every man willing to become a gentleman. There are plans for that.
If you prefer our video meetings to remain exactly as they are today—pure Gentleman Conversations—cast your vote in the poll below.
If the response is affirmative to introducing a five-minute lesson at the beginning, followed by five to ten minutes for questions, a second poll will be conducted. That poll will determine whether members wish to record only the lesson segment and the gentleman delivering it.
TO OUR NEW MEMBERS:
A brief clarification on access and structure.
We maintain a dedicated WhatsApp group for high-quality video calls. Because phone numbers are involved, this benefit unlocks only after a minimum of 19 days of active membership. That threshold exists for one reason: standards.
WhatsApp is the most widely used messaging platform in the world. It is end-to-end encrypted, offering an additional layer of privacy, and it is owned by the American company Meta—the same parent company behind Instagram and Facebook.
This group was created months ago with full confidence in the caliber of our members. We expect, and have consistently seen, appropriate and respectful conduct. That expectation is non-negotiable.
WhatsApp is used for more spontaneous calls, as well as for several scheduled video meetings. It also serves as a reliable channel for meeting reminders.
Using WhatsApp is not mandatory. Other options like Signal have been considered also.
For the next 30 days, all video meetings will take place exclusively on Skool, so there is nothing you need to manage or worry about on that front.
Future steps will be discussed.
Thank you for your attention to this matter.
The Stewardship.
