Free community as a lead magnet vs. low-ticket standard tier

I.am.torn. I said The Level Up Lounge would be free for the first 100, thinking I would then go $7 standard/$27 premium/$97 VIP.

But I also see the benefit of staying free and offering pay-as-you-go options like you are

I'm curious to hear from you all. How did you decide? What "sold" you? Help me make up my mind because this holding pattern is killing me.

Ads crushed it on free: 100 members in 20-some days, About Page converting near 22%. Engagement at 44% currently - what's a good benchmark for that?

Should I test a low-tier paid with ads for 72 hours and see? I can always go back to free.
