Why you struggle to do hard things
This challenge was about choosing one difficult task you tend to avoid and committing to doing it everyday. Over the past week, I have been intentionally working on avoiding using my phone while eating. Although it may seem like a small change, it has been challenging due to how usual scrolling has become during meals. Despite the difficulty, I have noticed meaningful improvements. I feel more present and aware and I also use that time to reflect on my day rather than being distracted.
This simple adjustment has brought more clarity and a sense of calm. While I still occasionally feel the urge to reach for my phone, I can definitely see how much I’ve progressed. I’ll continue to find other hard tasks to do everyday once this specific task has become easy.
