Hello peoples!
I am Omar, currently an apprentice structural engineer. My communication has always had some weaknesses and I hope to fix these in SWC. I have realised that I actually mispronounce some words and sometimes that is a result of speaking too quick. I would like to be clearer when I speak and not get too hasty under pressure when I make my most mistakes. I am trying to incorporate silence/pauses more often into my speech which has helped me stay with my train of thought more effectively.

Roast my articulation
I have made this video a week or so back and want it to serve as a ‘before picture’ of my communication skills prior to the 6 week SWC bootcamp. Let me know your thoughts.

What Do You Struggle With Most When It Comes to Communication?
I’ll be hosting a live call soon (TBC) Before I plan it, I want to know what you struggle with the most so I can tailor it around you. - Here are a few areas to think about: - Speaking clearly and confidently - Knowing what to say under pressure - Holding eye contact or managing nerves - Structuring your thoughts before you speak - Staying calm when challenged Be specific in the comments ⬇️ The more detail you share, the more practical we can make the session.

barak Allahu feek for your amazing efforts
Introducing myself 😁
My name is Omar and I am currently an apprentice structural engineer. I work as a personal tutor on the side and some hobbies of mine include working out, football and also seeking Islamic knowledge. Communication is a critical skill, especially nowadays where it seems that no one actually has a clue how to interact with others. I am not the best with my communication skills, and that is why I joined this community. I would love to learn and develop this skill whilst uplifting you guys along with me. My biggest objective with my efforts in this community is to unlock the power of my own voice: to portray myself the way I feel like I want to be seen, to unlock opportunities that otherwise I would have missed and become a confident and competent man.
