You may be wondering why I am posting a picture of my trash from my snack :-)
This is actually quite a victory! The other day, I tried this squeeze applesauce type packet in a blackberry flavor, along with a pre-wrapped piece of cheese for the first time. I liked knowing that I could get a small amount of protein with a little bit of fat for satiation from the cheese, along with the snack pack of Chia applesauce, which was 10 total carbs -3 g of fiber for seven net carbs. A little sweet, a little salty, a little filling- just what a snack should be with a little fiber and protein in it too.
Super simple, quick and easy to pack.
But the real win is that I tried this for the first time about 10 days ago. What’s hard about “dieting” is not knowing what to choose, or feeling like all of your on-target nutrition choices are not desirable.
I LIKED this one. I had it 10 days ago, and this morning in a rush to run out the door, I realized I could quickly grab those two and throw them in my lunchbox and take them with me for the day.
What I had done by taking the original action of trying this combination 10 days ago, was carved a new brain pathway of something familiar that had a good reward because it was tasty and satisfying.
The hardest part of getting your nutrition easy, automatic and on track by default is finding those things that you like that become easy.
Try this combo or one of your own and share what works for you to help you make good choices all the way through to the end of the day!
