So a group of us in our Wellness & Financial Education community decided to spend 30 days practising what we teach—building healthier habits one day at a time.
Today is Day 11 of my journey… 💚
🌿 Wellness Journey Journal – Day 11
One of today’s wellness lessons really made me stop and think.
Today’s focus was mindful eating.
📵 No eating in front of the TV.
📱 No scrolling on my phone.
⏸️ Just slowing down, chewing well, and paying attention.
💡 My biggest takeaway?
When we eat mindfully, we’re much more likely to notice our body’s “I’m satisfied” signal before we’ve eaten too much.
I’ve realised that when I’m distracted, I often eat past that point… and then wonder why I feel so sleepy, sluggish and have no energy afterwards. 💥💥💥
That was a real aha! moment for me.
My goal isn’t just to eat healthier—it’s to finish my meals feeling satisfied, energised and ready to enjoy the rest of my evening. 👍🏾👌🏾😇🙏🏾
