It's sometimes easy to forget the progress we've made, since the focus is most often on everything that still needs to be done. So let's take a snapshot on how your life is at this very moment, so you have something to look back to. - Take out your phone, start walking around your living space while taking pictures or a video. - Then, turn the camera to yourself. Don't clean up first, don't put on nicer clothes. Be real. What the state of things is now is likely how it often is. - Share this pictures or video in the comments. Ff this brings up resistance, you'll likely have to start making some changes.
Little Victories
I'm a big believer in honoring yourself as much as possible. One way I do that is by giving myself compliments for as many tasks that I do during a day, big and small. Took a cold shower? Well done Sanne! Had a good client session? Nailed it buddy! Walked home from work instead of biking? Great that you took more quiet time! Resisted sending that message to your ex? So proud of you legend! True growth is doing a lot of small things, consistently over a very long time. Since I've started complimenting myself for these small steps, I find a lot more joy in life, and it motivates me to do it even more. I'm curious to hear if you guys also do this, and what you congratulate yourself for.
